Wedding Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

Will your wedding be the only event your photographer is shooting that day?
Yes, we only schedule one event per day, per photographer, insuring you get our complete and undivided attention.

Is there an extra cost to have the reception photographed?
We have a variety of different collections..  Most of them include coverage through different parts of the reception.

When do you photograph the posed formals?
We start photographing the formals about three hours before the ceremony and up until a half hour before the ceremony is to start.  However, if you don't want to see each other before the ceremony, we will DEFINITELY work with you on that.  We can do the formals of the bride and groom separate before the ceremony and the together formals afterwards.

Why does the photographer keep the master CD or negatives?
You can be assured that we will handle and store them properly and your  images will be printed at professional labs.  Many times, professional photographers will intentionally over or under expose images and add filtering devices for desired effects.  The "one hour" and "discount store" labs are not equipped to give your images the extra attention that is required to produce the desired final image    With digital photography, there is a lot we like to do with special effects and touch ups before we deliver your albums and portraits.  We guarantee that we will not discard your wedding master CD or negatives away without first making an attempt to contact you for purchase.

Will the photographer accept your list of important photographs and work them into their routine?
Yes, I will do my best to get all of the extra portraits that you want.  I highly recommend a list because you want to make sure that you don't miss out on all those special poses that I wouldn't normally know about (such as a pose with a friend who's visiting from out of the country).  Keep in mind that there are natural things that could complicate getting every shot on your list such as people not being available when they are needed for a certain pose.

What is your style of photography?
I use a traditional style of photography although I do use photojournalism if requested.  See below to get a better idea of the different styles.

Where do you photograph?
I photograph on location within 50 miles of the twin cities.  I will travel outside that area for an additional charge.  Please e-mail me for more information at jennifer@divinephoto.net.

Do you photograph black and white or panoramic as well as color?
Yes, I have a lot of requests for black and white.  If you want black and white we can do that.  If you want both color and black and white, just let us know what poses or shots you would like to be B&W (no extra charge).  As far as panoramic format, I have a wide angle lens that will get a similar effect.  With that you can have these sizes made...6x8, 8x12, 12x18, and 16x24.

Do you also do videography?
No, by keeping it to photography, I can give you my undivided attention and provide you with excellent photographs of your special day.

Do you have sample photographs to show?
Yes, I would love to set up a consultation with you and show you a couple of full current weddings I have photographed.  There are also some selected photographs on my website!

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?

Absolutely!  If you are not satisfied with your wedding photos or albums, we will redo it at no charge or refund your money (photos would need to be returned for a refund).

Can you do touch ups if there is glass glare or a blemish?
YES!  We can touch up blemishes, shiny skin, hair out of place, tattoos...color the flowers in on a black and white photo, add flowers to a brides hand if she has forgotten them as she walked down the aisle, erase exit signs, the list is endless!  Some touch ups or special effects are an additional charge.  Please ask for a quote.
